The Plummer House

Dr. O. D. Adamson, Former Judge & County Commissioner,  lived in the Plummer House  in the early 1920s.  Adamson was a U. S. Public Health Service doctor who inspected all vessels coming into the port.  He operated a hospital at what was known as the "Quarantine Station" and lived at the Station after moving from the Plummer House.  (Information courtesy of Dr. Adamson's grandson, Ryle Adamson.)

The old Lookout Tower, once located at the Quarantine Station, was Dr. Adamson's office.  Before its move to its present site, the Lookout Tower and the Quarantine Station was located at the current site of the U.S. Coast Guard Station.  (Information courtesy of Dr. Adamson's grandson, Ryle Adamson.)
